FAQ guide for the Beta release of Blind Scoring

What does the feature offer?

Blind Scoring is an optional feature in Cezanne Recruitment, designed to help reduce bias during CV reviews. Using AI, it removes personally identifiable information (PII) from candidate CVs, enabling hiring managers to evaluate profiles without exposure to sensitive details.

Managers can then give a thumbs up or down and add comments. Additionally, each candidate is assigned an anonymized name, which appears throughout the review process and is visible to recruitment users within the Cezanne Recruitment app.

What information will be removed from the Candidate’s CV?

Details such as names, email addresses, schools, and home addresses are removed. The CV will be presented as plain text, with all styling removed when compared to the original document. 

Will the CV stored in the database also be anonymised?

No. The original CV remains unchanged in the database.

Why a Beta release?

Although extensively tested, we’re seeking real-world feedback to assess its suitability for general release.

How do I enable this feature?

Contact your Account Manager or raise a support ticket to request activation of the Beta feature.

Once it’s been enabled, is this feature on by default for all Hiring Manager reviews?

No. When sending candidates for hiring manager review, users can choose to enable Blind Scoring via a toggle. The default setting is off, as we understand many customers may prefer to use this feature only at specific stages of the hiring process.

Are there any settings for this feature?

Under Company settings, you can toggle whether anonymisation is the default setting when sending Candidates for Hiring Manager Review.

Where is the candidate data stored? Is the data used to train an LLM, or accessible by any other customer?

Candidate data is securely transferred to a Cezanne controlled LLM, deleted immediately after processing, and is never used for model training or shared with other customers.

How can I provide feedback?
