When an employee account is deactivated in Cezanne, any saved searches owned by that account are automatically deactivated as well. In specific scenarios, you can transfer ownership of a search to another active user.
When to Transfer a Saved Search
You should consider transferring ownership of a saved search if you encounter either of the following situations:
- Employee Group Search: The search is used by an employee group and must remain active after the original owner’s account is deactivated.
- Scheduled Export Search: The search powers a scheduled export and must continue running on its schedule.
1. Transfer Ownership for Employee Group Searches
To reassign a saved search that’s linked to an employee group:
- Navigate to Administration > Other > Employee Groups.
- Locate and select the employee group associated with the saved search you want to transfer.
- Click Take Ownership.
- This action assigns the selected group’s searches to your account (or the active user performing the step).
2. Transfer Ownership for Scheduled Export Searches
To reassign a saved search used in a scheduled export:
- Navigate to Administration > Setup & Security > Scheduled Exports.
- Find and select the scheduled export that uses the saved search you wish to transfer.
- Click Take Ownership.
- The scheduled export will now run under the ownership of your (or another active) account, ensuring it remains enabled.
Tip: Always verify that the new owner has the appropriate permissions to manage the search and any associated reports or exports.
