How Do I Resolve Error 102309

You may encounter the following error when attempting to close an absence plan: “An unexpected error has occurred while invoking the component 'AbsenceHelper'. For further information please contact your administrator..."

 

This error typically occurs in scenarios such as:

  • Processing an employee as a Leaver

  • Closing absence plans



🔍 Why This Happens

This error message typically appears when there are unlinked absences on the original absence plan that occur after the currently entered "Effective To" date. 

 

How to Resolve It

  1. Access the relevant absence plan.

  2. Navigate to the "Absences" tab.

  3. Review for any unlinked absence records — these will be marked with a icon

  4. Delete any unlinked records causing the issue.

 

Note: Deletion is irreversible. All data associated with the deleted absence will be permanently lost.
