May 2026 release notes
Smarter payroll, streamlined reports and a refreshed user experience.
📝 Note
This release is scheduled to be installed on Saturday, 9th May 2026.
This release brings a refreshed user interface, improved navigation with smarter search memory, and payroll enhancements to support compliance and efficiency. You’ll also benefit from a redesigned reporting experience and new controls for time tracking accuracy.
New features
- Payroll: Net to Gross Payments
You can now enter a target net amount, and the system will calculate the required gross value during payroll processing. Supports tax, NI, loans, and pensions, making it easier to manage net salary agreements..gif?width=535&height=301&name=download%20(6).gif)
📝 Note
Calculations are approximate and are typically accurate within £1, but may vary slightly in more complex scenarios. This functionality does not support multiple entries or percentage-based calculations.
- Payroll: Contractual Pay Date
A new Contractual Pay Date field allows you to record the employee’s normal pay date separately from the actual payment date..png?width=553&height=224&name=image%20(3).png)
This ensures accurate HMRC FPS reporting and helps prevent issues with Universal Credit assessments. - Payroll: Nominal Codes Import
Bulk update Nominal Codes and Descriptions using a structured import template, reducing manual data entry, updating existing system-generated records, and ensuring consistency across payroll configuration.
📝 Note
The Nominal Codes import supports updates only (no create/delete) and will reject the full file if the validation fails.
- Payroll: Reference Salary for Statutory Absences
A new Reference Salary field enables employer pension contributions to be calculated using contractual salary during statutory leave (e.g. SMP, SAP)..png?width=533&height=368&name=image%20(9).png)
This update helps ensure compliance with pension regulations where no contractual salary override is provided.
📝 Note
Reference Salary applies to earnings-based pension schemes only and must be maintained manually (no automatic updates).
- Clock In / Clock Out: Restrict Future CICO Records
A new setting in Timesheet Plan Types allows you to prevent employees from adding clock-in/out records in the future.
To support real-time attendance tracking and legislative compliance, non-HR users are blocked with an error, while HR users can override with a confirmation.
User experience enhancements
- Updated list views (UI Refresh) and accessibility improvements(WCAG2.2)
System list views have been restyled to align with the design system. In addition, accessibility has been enhanced to meet WCAG 2.2 standards, including full keyboard navigation support, improved focus and hover states, and automatic focus on page headings to improve screen reader usability.
