Allow 'Taken as Pay'

The Allow 'Taken as Pay' option determines whether an employee can enter paid overtime rather than earning Time Off In Lieu (TOIL).

This article explains how this option works and contains the following sections:

  1. Allow 'Taken as Pay' = Ticked
  2. Allow 'Taken as Pay' = Not Ticked

1. Allow 'Taken as Pay' = Ticked

When Allow 'Taken as Pay' is ticked, employees can tick 'Taken as Pay' when entering their Overtime. This will mean they earn no Time Off In Lieu (TOIL).

2. Allow 'Taken as Pay' = Not Ticked

When Allow 'Taken as Pay' is not ticked, employees will not have the option to tick 'Taken as Pay' when entering their Overtime. This will mean they can only earn Time Off In Lieu (TOIL).
