Pro Rata Using FTE

The Pro Rata Using FTE option enables an employee's entitlement awards to be adjusted pro rata by their FTE ratio. This option affects:

  • Accrued Entitlement
  • Positive and Negative Carry Over
  • Maximum Entitlement
  • Minimum Entitlement

All of these values are adjusted in the same way. However, this article only shows how the option affects accrued entitlement, and contains the following sections:

  1. Pro Rata Using FTE = Ticked
  2. Pro Rata Using FTE = Not Ticked

In the following examples, the Absence Plan Type has been set up with the following options:

  • Accrual Calculation Type = Fixed
  • Accrual Date = 1st Jan
  • Entitlement = 30 days
  • Employee Enrolment Date = 01/01/2015

1. Pro Rata Using FTE = Ticked

FTE Ratio = 1.0

FTE Ratio = 1.0

Entitlement = 30 days.

FTE Ratio = 0.5

FTE Ratio = 0.5

Entitlement = 15 days.

2. Pro Rata Using FTE = Not Ticked

2. Pro Rata Using FTE = Not Ticked

Entitlement = 30 days.

FTE Ratio = 0.5

FTE Ratio = 0.5

Entitlement = 30 days.
