The Maximum People Absent by Org Unit rule allows you to place a limit on how many employees are able to book absences off at the same time within an Org Unit.
This article explains how to set up the rule and how it works in the following sections:
1. Set up a Maximum People Absent by Org Unit Rule
To add a new absence rule, navigate to: Administration >> Absences >> Absence Rules and select Maximum People Absent by Org Unit from the list of Absence Rules.
1. Click Add New.

- The rule will be automatically applied to all Absence Plan Types within the selected Absence Categories.
2. Rule Error Messages
If a Self Service or Line Manager user tries to book an absence and the maximum number of employees within their Org Unit have already booked that time off, the following error message will appear:

If an HR Professional tries to book an absence for an employee and the maximum number of employees within their Org Unit have already booked that time off, the following warning Confirmation message will appear:
